Sun and Moons Hooked Rug Pattern-an antique adaptation
Sun and Moons Hooked Rug Pattern-an antique adaptation
This pattern is based on an antique appliqued piece. I fell in love with the simplicity and whimsy of the flower and circles. It's 24x33" when finished and it hooks up quickly. It could be hooked so many different colorways, due to the primitive shapes and simple lines. My friend, Jean Bartel, hooked this for me to have a finished sample, IN A WEEKEND! She really is amazing! I so appreciate her hooking samples for me! We tried to stay close to the original applique color plan, since it was just primitively perfect.
This pattern was also used as a group challenge rug by a group of friends in MN. The challenge was to only use from their noodle stash, which they did with fabulous results! Many reported that their noodle stash didn’t shrink but seemed to be reproducing…
Many thanks for the lovely versions of my pattern to Jeanne Stephens, Jill Lee, Jennie Barthel, Gretchen Olson, Joyce Edmeier, and Marleane Callaghan! Well done, ladies! Your rugs are beautiful!
Please read my pattern descriptions carefully. I do not sell finished rugs. I only sell patterns for you to finish yourself.
